NMX Research and Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join its scientific team. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary research team in early-stage drug discovery. You will be responsible for sample preparation, performing data acquisition and processing, and work with project leads to help prepare client reports for a variety of projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary. As part of NMX you will actively participate in enabling and accelerating small-molecule drug discovery for our clients and for our internal projects.

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform sample preparation and data acquisition / processing.  

  • Participate in various project types coordinated by project leads, including fragment screens and binding assays. 

  • Process biochemical/biophysical data. 

  • Work in team with project leads to prepare concise and thorough reports for clients. 

 

Requirements 

​

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Biochemistry, Biophysics etc). 

  • Experience in a relevant research setting. 

  • Strong communication skills in English. 

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and multidisciplinary environment.

ASSOCIÉ(E) DE RECHERCHE

Définition de tâches

NMX Recherche et Solutions est à la recherche d’un (e) associé (e) de recherche pour joindre son équipe. Vous travaillerez au sein d’une équipe de recherche multidisciplinaire en découverte de médicament. Vous serez responsable de la préparation d’échantillons, de la collecte et du traitement de données. Vous participerez aussi à la préparation des rapports avec les chefs de projets. En tant que membre de l’équipe NMX, vous participerez activement à l’accélération de la découverte de médicament pour nos clients et pour nos projets internes.

Responsabilités

​

  • Préparation d’échantillons, acquisition et traitement de données. 

  • Participation à une variété de projets coordonnés par un chef de projet, incluant des criblages de fragments et essais de liaison. 

  • Traitement de données (biochimique / biophysique). 

  • Travail en équipe avec les chefs de projets pour la préparation de rapport pour les clients. 

 

Exigences 

​

  • BSc dans un domaine pertinent (Biochimie, Biophysique, Chimie médicinale). 

  • Expérience en recherche en industrie ou dans un domaine relié. 

  • Excellente habileté de communication en anglais et en français. 

  • Excellente aptitude pour l’analyse et la rédaction. 

  • Facilité à travailler dans un environnement collaboratif multidisciplinaire qui évolue très rapidement.

POST DOCTORATE POSITION IN BIOPHYSICS

NMX Research and Solutions Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of joint post-doctoral positions in biophysics (including chemistry, biochemistry) with the laboratory of Professor Steven LaPlante at the INRS - Université de Québec in Laval, Québec, Canada.

 

Our joint research projects are centered around discovering the seeds (leads) for future drugs. Using combinations of disciplines in biophysics, biochemistry and chemistry, we are exploring novel fragment-based lead discovery (FBLD) strategies to target a wide variety of diseases.

 

Candidates for this postdoc position will have completed a PhD degree with significant training in biophysics with a strong interest in research and learning. He or she must be highly motivated and willing to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment that bridges academia with the pharmaceutical industry.
